# Terno AI

> Terno AI is an AI marketing analyst. It connects to Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, YouTube, Shopify and Salesforce, plus SQL databases and warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle), and answers marketing and business questions in plain English. Every answer is computed by running code against the connected data, and shows the sources and code that produced it.

Key facts:
- Reads only by default. Google Analytics 4, Search Console, YouTube, Meta Ads and Shopify connect with read-only permissions; Google Ads offers no read-only permission, so Terno keeps changes off until an admin enables them. Users choose which ad accounts, properties and stores Terno may use. On SQL databases, SQLShield blocks anything other than read-only queries.
- Google Ads changes (pausing campaigns, budgets, bidding, keywords, negative keywords, ads) are possible only after an admin enables them per account, and each change needs the user's approval.
- Remembers team metric definitions (for example how CAC or a qualified lead is counted) at the organisation level.
- Outputs: answers with charts, dashboards built on request, scheduled email reports (Excel, CSV or chart attachments), reusable apps and shared chats.
- Available in the web app, Slack, Microsoft Teams, a desktop app for Mac and Windows, and in Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients (ad platform access over MCP is in preview). Can also be deployed in a customer's own AWS account.
