Read-only databases
Every SQL query is checked by SQLShield before it reaches your databases and warehouses. Only read queries run; anything that could change data is blocked.

Which data sources does Terno connect to? +
Terno connects to databases and warehouses (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Oracle, SQLite and CSV uploads) and to business apps including Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, YouTube, Salesforce, and Shopify. More connectors are on the way.
Can I ask one question across several sources? +
Yes. Once your sources are connected, you can ask questions that combine them, such as ad spend from Google Ads against revenue from your own database.
Can Terno change data in my database or ad accounts? +
Database and warehouse queries are read-only: every SQL statement is checked before it runs. App connectors read data by default; some, such as Google Ads, can also take actions, which need an organisation admin and write permission and can be dry-run first.
How are my credentials stored? +
Credentials and OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. They are used only to run your queries and are never shown to the AI model or in the chat.
What if the connector I need is missing? +
Tell us which source you use. We prioritise new connectors based on requests.
