Google Ads actions
Everything Terno AI can change in Google Ads with write access, and the safety checks around each change.
With write access, Terno can make changes in Google Ads for you, such as pausing a wasteful campaign, raising a budget, or adding the keywords it found in your search terms.
Turn on write access
Section titled “Turn on write access”Write access is off until an admin switches it on for a specific account.
- Open the Google Ads connector and click Manage → Account selection.
- Set the account to Read & write. Only admins see this option.
- Read the warning: changes affect real ad spend. Click Save changes.
Only workspace admins can ask Terno to make changes. Other members can still analyse the same accounts.
Safety checks
Section titled “Safety checks”- You confirm every change: Terno shows what it’s about to do and waits for your OK.
- Per-account switch: changes only work on accounts set to Read & write.
- Current state first: before changing anything, Terno reads the current value, so you can see the before and after.
- Dry run: ask Terno to “do a dry run first”. Google validates the change without applying it, and the result is marked [dry-run — not applied].
- Audit log: every change that’s applied is recorded in Terno’s write log. Changes also appear in your Google Ads Change history.
