Limits and quotas
Row limits, rate limits, daily quotas, caching, and file size limits for Terno AI connectors.
Rows per query
Section titled “Rows per query”- App connector queries return up to 1,000 rows by default.
- When more rows are requested, Shopify can return up to 100,000 rows, and Salesforce up to 50,000 records (25 pages of 2,000).
For bigger results, ask Terno to summarise, group, or filter, for example by date range.
Rate limits and daily quotas
Section titled “Rate limits and daily quotas”To stay within each app’s own limits, Terno limits how often each workspace calls each app:
| App | Requests per second | Requests per day |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | 50 | 500,000 |
| Google Search Console | 50 | 50,000 |
| YouTube | 50 | 50,000 |
| Google Ads | 50 | 50,000 |
| Meta Ads | 50 | 100,000 |
| Shopify | 4 | 100,000 |
| Salesforce | 10 | 10,000 |
Daily quotas reset at 00:00 UTC. When a limit is reached, Terno tells you, and you can try again shortly or the next day.
Apps have their own limits too. For example, Salesforce caps how many API calls your org can make each day across all integrations.
Caching
Section titled “Caching”To save time and quota, Terno briefly reuses app results:
- Questions about past dates: results are reused for up to 1 hour.
- Questions that include today: results are reused for up to 15 minutes.
Database queries always run live.
- Chat attachments: up to 200 MB per file.
Unless you say otherwise, Terno uses UTC dates for app reports. Mention a time zone if it matters, such as “yesterday in IST”.
